Common questions about Tallymoss. Didn’t find an answer? Email us — we read every message.

Does the app need an internet connection?
No. Everything works offline — you can play in airplane mode.
Where is my progress saved?
On your device only. It is not uploaded anywhere.
Will I lose progress if I reinstall?
Yes. Uninstalling removes all local data, because nothing is stored on servers.
How do I solve a grid?
Each number beside a row or above a column is a run of filled cells in that line, in order. Choose Fill to fill cells or Cross to mark cells that stay empty, then tap a cell or drag along a line to mark several at once. Fill every cell of the picture to complete the grid.
What happens when I make a mistake, and how do hints work?
You have three hearts per puzzle. A wrong move costs one heart and shows the correct state of that cell. With no hearts left you can restart the grid. A hint (the light bulb) reveals one correct cell. You start with 3 hints and earn one more for each daily puzzle you solve and for completing all three of Today's Goals.
What are the Daily puzzle and Forest World?
A new 10x10 daily puzzle appears every day; the Daily tab shows a calendar of the current month with the days you solved, and you can still play earlier days of the month you missed. Forest World is a 3x3 mosaic: each of its nine tiles is a 10x10 grid, and solving it reveals that part of the forest picture.
How do Stars and medals work?
Each solved grid gives 1 to 3 stars, one for every heart you kept. Stars add up over the week (Monday to Sunday) on the Stars tab: 30 stars earn Bronze, 60 Silver and 90 Gold. Your best week is saved.
How do I reset my progress?
Open Settings with the gear icon, then press and hold "Hold to reset progress" for 2 seconds until the ring completes. Releasing earlier does nothing. Your progress is stored only on your device, so a reset cannot be undone.
